Hourly Range

$18.00-$21.00 per hour based on experience

As a Career Coach, you’ll help high school-aged individuals with disabilities explore their strengths, discover employment opportunities, and develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in competitive integrated employment. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

  • Champion employment goalsby helping high school-aged individuals explore career interests, identify strengths, and pursue meaningful employment opportunities.
  • Coach for successby providing individualized training, mentoring, and support to helphigh school-aged individuals build workplace skills and confidence.
  • Build meaningful employer partnershipsby developing positive relationships with local businesses and identifying opportunities that align with individual goals and abilities.
  • Support job seekers throughout the employment journeyby assisting with job exploration, applications, interviews, onboarding, and maintaining employment.
  • Promote independence and self-advocacyby empowering high school-aged individuals to make informed decisions and take an active role in their career development.
  • Provide individualized supportby adapting coaching and training approaches to meet each person’s communication style, learning needs, and goals.
  • Maintain quality documentationby completing required service documentation and reports accurately and on time while meeting productivity expectations.
  • Promote safe and successful workplacesby identifying potential health and safety concerns and helping individuals navigate workplace environments.
  • Collaborate with othersby working with families, employers, agency teams, and community partners to support successful employment outcomes.
  • Make a lasting impactby helping high school-aged individuals build careers, increase independence, and experience greater inclusion in their communities.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull up to50 pounds
  • People-focused communicator who can coach, motivate, and build strong relationships
  • Problem-solver & self-starter who works well independently and adapts quickly
  • Strongly organized with the ability to manage documentation, deadlines, and multiple priorities
  • Comfortable with technology including Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Positive, professional, and dependablewith a passion for helping others succeed
  • Strong coaching and training skills with the ability to support individuals with different learning styles and needs
  • Community-minded relationship builder who enjoys connecting with employers and community partners
  • Experience providing employment services to individuals with disabilities is a plus
Requirements
  • Must submit to BCII/FBI background checks and Nurse Aide & Abuser Registry checks.
  • Must maintain American Red Cross or equivalent First Aid and CPR certification.
