The Specialist, Business Consulting role will support communication needs for assigned projects across the NF Shared Portfolio. This role will contribute to the development and execution of communication strategies and tactics that support business outcomes, project delivery, and effective change adoption. Individuals should possess the ability to organize and communicate information across complex projects with multiple audiences, helping promote alignment, awareness, and understanding.

Primary responsibilities would include:

  • Support the development and execution of communication strategies and tactics in support of business needs, project outcomes, and change-management activities.
  • Coordinate communication and feedback from customers and stakeholders on proposed, developing, and completed projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare and distribute project updates and other communications while helping coordinate information between project and business teams.
  • Assist with measuring the effectiveness of communication efforts against project objectives and deliverables.
  • Help develop communication plans for projects and pivotal initiatives, particularly when priorities or requirements are evolving.
  • Support project awareness, alignment, capability adoption, and overall engagement across portfolio activities.
  • Identify potential communication gaps or roadblocks and raise them to the appropriate project or business partners.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Individuals should possess a working understanding of NF business processes and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable building relationships, collaborating with a variety of partners, and applying standard project-management practices while managing multiple, competing priorities. Individuals should be naturally curious, adaptable, and comfortable working in ambiguity while supporting project communication needs and helping teams adopt change effectively.

The ideal candidate is forward-thinking and interested in continuously improving communication strategies and tactics across projects. Additional skillsets would include planning, organization, decision-making, time management, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Individuals should demonstrate initiative, follow-through, and a willingness to learn while contributing to team success and recognizing the achievements of others.

Individuals should demonstrate organizational savvy and the ability to use storytelling to engage a range of audiences and support alignment. They should be able to tailor messages to the needs of different stakeholders, create clear and engaging communications, and contribute to an environment where team members feel valued, appreciated, supported, and encouraged to do their best work every day.

A writing sample may be required as part of application with this role.

This role will be required to work a hybrid in-office schedule out of our Columbus, OH location (2-3 days per week).

This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization. Nationwide does not participate in the Stem OPT Extension program.
