Revenue Cycle Manager (Financial Manager)

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee full revenue cycle operations, including patient registration, coding, billing, charge capture, and collections.
  • Ensure alignment of operations across all Regional Psychiatric Hospitals with broader agency goals.
  • Identify and resolve revenue cycle inefficiencies and leakage.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reimbursement from Medicaid, Medicare, and other payers.
  • Support the Chief Fiscal Officer on financial projects, fiscal planning, and other operational needs.
  • Lead implementation, optimization, and governance of EPIC systems revenue cycle modules.
  • Develop and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards using Excel and system-based reporting tools.
  • Ensure revenue cycle compliance with regulatory bodies and standards.
  • Monitor changes in industry standards, regulations, and trends.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Maintain and update internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform cost reporting duties for Medicare, Medicaid, and DSH for Regional Psychiatric Hospitals.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards.
  • Provide actionable insights to support executive decision‑making.
  • Supervise professional managers and staff across revenue cycle departments.
  • Assign and review work to ensure accuracy, compliance, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs focused on compliance and best practices.
  • Foster a high‑performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and development planning.
  • Coordinate between revenue cycle functions and EPIC module teams to enhance system workflows and support ongoing optimization.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary efforts with clinical operations, IT, quality, and compliance teams.
  • Ensure accurate coding, documentation, and claims processing.
  • Develop and implement solutions for payment delays, denials, or unbilled charges.
  • Monitor and evaluate KPIs and trends to recommend actionable improvements.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reduce errors.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 66 months (5½ years) of experience or training in financial administration, or
  • Completed undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field with minimum of 42 months of experience or training in financial administration, or
  • Completed graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field with minimum of 30 months of experience or training in financial administration, or
  • 12 months experience as Financial Program Manager (job code 66585), or
  • Equivalent minimum class qualifications; successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may substitute for 4 months of required accounting/fiscal experience.
  • Technical skills:
    Accounting and Finance.
  • Professional skills:
    Interpreting Data, Leading Others, Organizing and Planning, Problem Solving, Responsiveness.

Compensation and Work Hours
  • $43.09 per hour (hourly position, exempt from union).
  • Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
