The reporting location for this position is flexible and may be based at any operating center within the Ohio or Indiana service areas.
Job SummaryLeads Calibration team that supports 100% compliance while reducing O&M expenses associated with third party calibration services. Leads the implementation of new equipment implementation and calibration. Drives Operational Excellence through strategic leadership continuous improvement. Drives consistency and collaboration across the organization. Oversee data metrics tracking for robust asset management and compliance tracking.
Essential Functions- Ensures all equipment is properly calibrated to support precise measurements, contributing to safe, reliable, and high-quality service delivery while maintaining accurate records and regularly reporting calibration status and schedules to Operations.
- Implement best practices while driving functional consistency, process standardization and operational Partners across teams, including counterparts in other states, to provide a clear and comprehensive plan for executing calibration.
- Ensure reduced downtime and efficiency through installation and setup of calibration labs.
- Develop and maintain calibration roadmap.
- Manage and oversee the calibration of all test equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
- Leverage cross-functional teams to align initiatives, monitor progress, and drive execution.
- Provide subject matter expert guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Track and report on asset heath information.
- Maintain supplier relationships.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Gas Operations
- Minimum of three (3) years of Leadership experience
- Familiarity with Capital and O&M budgeting processes
- Demonstrated strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word) & Outlook
- Enhanced ability to plan and execute a schedule spanning multiple business functions.
- Demonstrated problem solving, organization, time management, analytical and planning skills.
- Ability to demonstrate superior customer service skills.
- Travel across NiSource footprint.
- Some overnight travel will be required
- Experience with Additel Calibration Software and System Measurement & Regulation Experience
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain operations
- Demonstrated ability and strong knowledge of calibration and test equipment standards.
