The City of Upper Arlington is seeking Safety Town Assistant Teachers for the upcoming season. This role is responsible for assisting with the supervision and support of children enrolled in the Safety Town Program. Under the guidance of the Outside Supervisor, this role involves actively supervising children as they navigate the village on tricycles.

Examples of Duties

Primary Duties Include:

• Assisting teachers in the care and instruction of 10-13 children in a classroom setting
• Helping provide hands-on rules of bicycle and pedestrian safety rules at an outdoor miniature village
• Providing assistance and supervision during recess time.
• Fostering a supporting learning environment

Typical Qualifications

Valid driver's license, minimum 16 years of age; willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and the public; ability to work and communicate with small children.
