With a strong presence across the Midwest and East coast, this company is a one stop shop for all things waterproofing and restoration, offering concrete & masonry repair, façade repairs, building envelope reconstruction, structural & foundation repairs, and over 50 other services which are all completed by their well-trained in-house crews!

The company is deeply established in the construction industry and remains independently owned, with no intention of selling to private equity. They are on the path to significantly expand their presence and become the go-to specialty contractor in every state and they plan to do so through strategic hiring and outstanding project delivery. They are looking for a top-quality Estimator to join their team in Columbus and eventually be a leader for that department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and industrial self-perform estimates from a specialty trade- ideally within waterproofing and restoration. Their in-house training program will ensure that you are able to confidently perform estimates for each of their services. This role is also required in Indianapolis, Monroe, and Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all contract documentation, including the issuance, tracking, and distribution of addenda, field orders, Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Oversee the shop drawing and submittal process, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and implementing effective routing procedures to keep all project stakeholders informed.
  • Lead project quality control activities, including deviation and non-conformance reports, pre-pour inspections, completion and punch lists, testing reports, and quality documentation, with regular communication to the Project Manager and Superintendent.
  • Coordinate Requests for Information between architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate timely clarification and resolution of project issues.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and support the development and submission of change order requests to the owner.
  • Maintain accurate and current as-built drawings throughout the project and prepare final documentation for project close-out.
  • Collect and organize operations and maintenance manuals, warranties, and guarantees, and support all project close-out activities to ensure a complete and compliant handover.
Requirements
  • 5 years of professional experience in commercial construction is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry standards, methods, and best practices.
  • Proficient in database management and data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of industry-related software such as Bluebeam.
  • Collaborative team-oriented professional with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Natural technical and mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and apply engineering and construction concepts.
