Electrical Estimator

A leading electrical construction firm is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team. This organization delivers complex electrical projects across commercial and industrial sectors throughout Central Ohio.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate pricing strategies.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and labor calculations.
• Solicit, evaluate, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop conceptual budgets and preliminary estimates during preconstruction phases.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost‑saving solutions.
• Coordinate with project managers, field leadership, and executive teams to ensure seamless project handoff.
• Maintain historical cost databases and estimating records.
• Participate in bid reviews, scope analysis, and risk assessments.
• Assist with design‑build and negotiated project pursuits.

• 5‑10+ years of electrical estimating experience within commercial, industrial, or institutional construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project delivery processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
