Overview
Seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead pricing and bid preparation for heavy civil, earthwork, utilities, and site development projects in the Columbus area
.
- Lead estimates for earthwork, utilities, and sitework
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze plans/specs
- Develop labor, equipment, and material costs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/supplier quotes
- Prepare bids, proposals, and value options
- Work with operations to confirm scope and constructability
- 7+ years estimating heavy civil/site development
- Strong plan-reading and takeoff skills
- Experience with estimating software (Heavy Bid, AGTEK, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Solid understanding of production rates and civil construction methods
- Stable, well-established contractor with steady workload
