Project Executive
We are partnered with a respected, family-owned General Contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality public and private construction projects and are seeking an experienced Project Executive to join its leadership team in Columbus, Ohio.
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple projects and project teams, driving operational excellence, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring successful project delivery from preconstruction through closeout.
Responsibilities- Provide executive oversight of multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously
- Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and project teams
- Manage project financial performance, schedules, risk, and client satisfaction
- Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams during project pursuit and planning phases
- Develop and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and public agencies
- Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards
- Participate in strategic planning and operational decision‑making
- Support business development efforts and help secure future work opportunities
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field (Required)
- Minimum 10+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Strong experience managing public works projects for municipalities, state agencies, schools, higher education, or other government entities
- Proven track record overseeing multiple project teams and large-scale commercial projects
- Strong financial management, contract administration, and scheduling experience
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience with Procore and other construction management software preferred
