Superintendent, Construction

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day field operations from project startup through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with project management teams.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and site logistics.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct daily site inspections and proactively address quality control issues.
• Lead project safety efforts and enforce company safety standards.
• Facilitate subcontractor meetings, owner meetings, and progress updates.
• Manage manpower planning and sequencing of work activities.
• Track project progress and identify potential schedule impacts.
• Review and coordinate drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field changes.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and daily logs.
• Support project turnover, punch list completion, and closeout activities.

• 7+ years of superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Experience managing public, commercial, and/or light industrial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and site coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors simultaneously.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

• Ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Municipal, government, K-12, higher education, or other public-sector work.
• Warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or light industrial facilities.
• Significant concrete experience including foundations, slabs, site concrete, and structural concrete coordination.
• Experience with self-perform concrete operations is a plus.
