** Job Description
**** Position Summary
** The
** Planning/Layout/Design Specialist
** is involved in the planning, layout, design, coordination and pre-fabrication on projects. This person has a thorough knowledge of electrical systems, construction documents, and quality construction work practices.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Maintains regular contact with project personnel as well as professional relationships with designers, owners, and subcontractors
* Outlines job specifications and reviews material submittals for project requirements
* Supports preconstruction, pre-fabrication and construction teams with electrical/systems/ construction related issues
* Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials
* Educates field personnel on layout/design processes and supports project efforts
* Creates detailed layout drawings while adhering to company standards
* Seeks ways to infuse quality and labor savings into overall layout efforts
* Communicate ideas for continuous improvement in standards and workflows
* Performs other duties as assigned by management
** Qualifications
* *** Education
* ** Minimum of 5 years field construction experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
** Required
* ** Experience with team collaboration
* Proficient in reading and understanding of all forms of construction documents
* Ability to interpret 2D plans and provide input to a 3D model
** Skills & Competencies
*** Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as BIM
360, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Outlook, Navisworks, Revit, and file sharing platforms
* Demonstrates problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
* Demonstrates organizational and communication skills
* A commitment to continued learning and development
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
