Field Safety Representative

Pay Rate
: $56/HR

Overtime
: 1.4x Base Rate After 40 Hours

Per Diem
: $130/Day Worked

Completion Bonus
: $150/month

Pay Frequency

Weekly

Schedule
: 50+ Hours Per Week | Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Potential Saturdays Based On Project Needs

Required Qualifications
  • Four-Year Degree in Occupational Health & Safety with 2+ years of safety experience OR OSHA 500/510 with 5+ years of electrical utility safety experience OR BCSP Credential (CHST, ASP, CSP, SMS, etc.)
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
  • Substation construction experience required
  • Ability to maintain individual Worker's Compensation coverage
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical utility construction experience
  • Transmission & distribution experience
  • High-voltage electrical safety experience
  • Experience supporting utility owners, EPCs, or electrical contractors
  • Procore experience
What You'll Be Doing
  • Conduct daily jobsite audits and safety observations
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Provide field safety support for substation construction activities
  • Assist with hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and corrective action implementation
  • Conduct safety inspections and document findings
  • Utilize Procore and project software platforms to maintain documentation
  • Support incident investigations and follow-up actions
  • Partner with project supervision and field personnel to promote safe work practices
  • Communicate safety expectations and project requirements effectively
  • Maintain safety records, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Support a proactive safety culture throughout the project

The ideal candidate is a field-oriented safety professional who is highly visible onsite, communicates effectively with crews and supervision, proactively identifies hazards, maintains strong documentation practices, and helps ensure safe execution of substation construction activities while supporting project production goals.
