Strawser Construction Inc Laborer

Job Summary

Strawser Construction Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, is growing! We provide advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs. We are currently looking for Laborers to fill our Crack Seal crews.

• General laborer duties associated with performing crack seal include extended periods of walking, laying materials in accordance with job specs, and cleaning roadway surfaces as needed
• May operate a variety of equipment and vehicles, including the transportation of construction equipment and materials
• Will be required to safely maintain traffic control including flagging duties
• Keep equipment and tools in good working condition
• Work in a team-oriented environment
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist the crew

• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• CDL preferred, must obtain within one year
• Previous highway experience preferred, OSHA 10 Hour Training or Flagger Certification a Plus!
• Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays
• Must be able to travel 75-90% of time
• Must adhere to our safety practices and procedures at all times
• Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain
