Planning and Construction Advisory Services (PCAS), a Business Unit of YA, specializes in pre-construction and construction consulting, including cost estimating, scheduling, and constructability reviews. Known for accuracy and strategic insight, PCAS helps clients align scope, schedule, and budget from the earliest planning stages through project execution.
Role & Responsibilities:- Participate in all phases of the construction planning & scheduling process, including the development of schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
- Conduct forensic analysis of project schedules, contemporaneous documentation, and construction costs.
- Perform inspections of construction project sites, evaluating project progress.
- Review and organize large amounts of construction project documents and data.
- Perform schedule delay analysis to establish the cause and extent of delays and to resolve construction delay claims.
- Evaluate construction productivity and progress data, extended general conditions, and expediting expenses.
- Assess the impact of project changes and schedule delays, effectively communicating findings.
- Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of construction.
- Review and synthesize relevant information to prepare technical project reports.
- Maintain job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables.
- Interface with other department employees, contractors, and clients on a regular basis
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required, in construction management, engineering or equivalent field, preferred
- 2-8 years in a construction scheduling experience.
- Holds a PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) certification, preferred.
- Experience using critical path method (CPM) techniques to analyze construction project schedules.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Oracle Primavera 6, and ASTA Power project.
- Previous experience or exposure to builder’s risk insurance policies, construction claims management, and managing contractors.
- Experience working on data centers / semiconductors, preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team towards a common purpose.
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to interface with various stakeholders and clients.
