Position: Student Assistant 1 -Stone Lab

Job Title:

Student Assistant 1 - Stone Lab

Department: FAES | Center for Lake Erie Area Research-JM

Responsibilities
  • Conducts interviews and researches subject for article development as sole author or in cooperation with other authors for website.
  • Helps develop promotional emails and flyers for Stone Lab course student recruitment.
  • Creates educational text for display panels for the public on topics like harmful algal blooms, pharmaceuticals in the water, wetlands and aquaculture.
  • Develops news releases on program research and events for public awareness and promotion.
  • Assists in the development of publication graphics and layout with graphic designer.
  • Helps to write short scripts to be used for You Tube researcher summaries.
  • Develops brochures, fact sheets and posters covering outreach programming.
  • Creates social media posts on program research and outreach.
  • Updates media lists and publication database.
