Worship Coordinator – Grandview Campus
Temporary, Part-Time (20 hours/week) Non-Exempt
Position OverviewThe Worship Coordinator – Grandview Campus provides leadership and coordination for worship and production ministries at the Grandview campus. This role leads or co-leads weekend services and campus-specific special services, oversees worship and production volunteers, and ensures high-quality preparation and execution of worship experiences.
This is a temporary position for approximately six months, with the possibility of extension based on ministry needs.
Reporting RelationshipReports to the Grandview Campus Pastor
Key ResponsibilitiesWorship Leadership & Services (35%)
- Lead or co-lead weekend worship services at the Grandview campus 3–4 times per month
- Lead all campus-specific special services and events
- Monitor worship services approximately once per month when not leading
Scheduling & Administration (15%)
- Schedule worship leaders and production team volunteers
- Coordinate and administer worship and production staffing
- Participate in weekly campus staff meetings
Volunteer & Team Development (20%)
- Recruit, train, deploy, and support worship leaders and production volunteers
- Build healthy, effective volunteer teams
- Provide ongoing encouragement, coaching, and oversight
Preparation & Rehearsals (15%)
- Prepare weekly worship sets and lead rehearsals
- Monitor rehearsals and preparation when not leading
- Research music, styles, and technology to support engaging worship
Production & Technical Support (15%)
- Participate in weekly stage setup and production preparation
- Support smooth technical execution of worship experiences
- Weekend worship services: 3–4 per month
- Special services/events: 6–8 per year
- Volunteers recruited, trained, and supervised: approximately 6 per year
- Ability to direct a band, lead rehearsals, and oversee stage setup
- Vocal and/or instrumental proficiency
- Intermediate knowledge of current music and production technology
- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading worship and volunteer teams
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers
- Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required
- Commitment to musical excellence, spiritual formation, and relational growth
- Successful completion of a background check
- Previous Worship Coordinator experience
- Familiarity with Planning Center Online and PRIME Multitrack
- Bi-lingual capabilities
- Walking, standing, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing
- Ability to perform light physical work and repetitive motions
