The Spirit of the PositionGarage Attendant provides excellent customer service while greeting and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients.
What does a day in the life of a LAZ Garage Attendant look like?- Greet customers warmly and assist them with parking needs and inquiries.
- Monitor garage activity to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Monitor parking facilities for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route.
- Issue LAZ approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of policies and procedures.
- Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas.
- Provide directions and information about garage services and nearby locations.
- Handle payment processing and validate parking tickets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the garage.
- Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly.
- Cash handling experience is required.
- Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Dynamic. You’re charismatic, full of energy, and happy to help in any way you can.
- Dependable. Responsible is your middle name. You never disappoint because it’s not in your nature.
- Good under pressure. You don’t fold and get overwhelmed easily.
- Proficient in basic math.
- Communicate professionally and effectively.
- A team player. You’re open to different opinions and can help motivate your team.
- Capable of working in an unsupervised setting.
- Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
