Financial Service Representative

Immediate need for a talented Financial Service Representative. This is a 06 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Grandview Heights, OH (Hybrid).

Pay Range: $18/hr - $19/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer, broker, agent, and government agency inquiries via phone and written communication.
  • Assist customers with financial and policy-related transactions.
  • Interpret insurance and financial product contract provisions.
  • Research and resolve routine customer issues and processing errors.
  • Review records and reports to make accurate service decisions.
  • Escalate complex issues requiring advanced technical knowledge when necessary.
  • Process monetary transactions within authorized limits.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, systems, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure excellent customer service.
Key Requirements and Technology

Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with PC applications and office systems.
  • Ability to prioritize work and make sound decisions.
  • 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in financial services, insurance, annuities, or mutual funds.
  • Undergraduate studies preferred.
  • LOMA, CLU, or ChFC coursework preferred.
  • NASD Series 6 and/or 26 certifications preferred (may be required based on business needs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Credit check and/or background check required due to fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Weekly timesheet submission required.
  • No travel required.
