Nationwide Children's Hospital seeks clinically oriented and compassionate pediatric dentist to join our expanding and nationally renowned Division of Dentistry. We have flexibility to hire FTE status between 0.2 to 0.6.

The pediatric dental attending will be responsible for providing direct patient care in multiple clinical settings with an emphasis on treating children and adolescents in our newly constructed KIPP Columbus Wellness Center, opening fall of 2025.

Qualified candidates must possess a DDS/DMD degree or international equivalent; a certificate from a CODA‑accredited advanced education program in pediatric dentistry;
Board certification/eligibility by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and be eligible for a dental license in the State of Ohio. The position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. The successful candidates will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality and collaborations among members of the division and the hospital. The candidate must embrace a “One Team” philosophy that includes a genuine willingness to put the safety and needs of the child first in a culturally diverse, clinical care setting.

The Division of Dentistry at Nationwide Children's Hospital is administratively housed within the Department of Surgery and provides comprehensive oral health care for pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence. The division focuses on the care of children with medically and dentally complex conditions and needs. In May 2017, Nationwide Children’s opened our new dental clinic at the interprofessional Livingston Ambulatory Center.

The new 17,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art-dental clinic provides a significant increase in treatment space that includes 30 dental operatories, telehealth capabilities and new imaging equipment. In addition, Nationwide Children’s Hospital recently opened a new Surgery Center with 4 operating rooms designed to support Dental Surgery.

The Division of Dentistry at Nationwide Children’s is privileged to benefit from a relationship with the prestigious Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Our flagship Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program is highly respected as being a well-balanced clinical experience in all areas of pediatric dentistry with a rigorous academic focus that capitalizes on the long-term, collaborative partnership of both institutions.

The successful candidate will also work in close partnership with Nationwide Children’s School Health Services team. School Health Services offers health care to students, families, and community members. Our providers work on-site at schools across Ohio to provide primary care services, mental health counseling, asthma therapy care, vision care, dental care and more. School-Based dental care is offered within select Reynoldsburg City, Columbus City, and KIPP Columbus schools.

Our mission is to break down barriers to care by reaching children where they are located.
