Overview
The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for part-time faculty positions at the rank of assistant professor – practice in the Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry. The primary responsibilities are didactic and clinical instruction in the pre-doctoral fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics curricula.
Responsibilities- Promote evidence-based teaching skills in an education setting and a strong track record of scholarly activity.
- Demonstrate a passion for student education.
- Apply advanced technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Participate in teaching activities consistent with division goals.
- Demonstrate effective teaching skills through student and peer reviews.
- Support a dental education model that incorporates innovative technologies, interdisciplinary education and patient care, and evidence-based clinical dentistry.
- Provide interdisciplinary mentoring to students.
- Demonstrate collaboration between college divisions.
- Membership in professional organizations and contributions to professional activities outside the university.

- Required: Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree. They also must be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. Information on state dental licensure is available o.gov/Licensure/Dentist.
- Desired: Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and experience in the application of advanced digital technology in dental education and an MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is highly desirable.

The Division of Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry is composed of several disciplines, including Operative Dentistry, Dental Anatomy, Occlusion, Fixed Prosthodontics, Removable Prosthodontics, Implant Dentistry, Digital Dentistry, and Dental Materials Science.
