We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) with a passion to educate, promote, and treat oral care. Our office serves a diverse patient population in northeast Columbus, and offers a comfortable, family-oriented work environment where patients are not treated like numbers, and the staff is valued like family. Responsibilities- Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
- Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have
- Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
- Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
- Perform dental hygiene services including plaque removal dental prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, scaling and root planning
- Teach good oral hygiene techniques
- Take x-rays
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist dentist during procedures and exams as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies
- Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards
- Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene
- Current Dental Hygienist licensure
- At least 2-3 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Current CPR certification (re-certification provided)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines
- Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
