Project Leader Architecture

About the Opportunity

An established architecture and design firm is seeking an experienced Project Leader to guide architectural projects from concept through completion. This role is ideal for an architect or designer with strong technical expertise, excellent coordination skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality built environments.

As a Project Leader, youll oversee day-to-day project activities, ensure quality control, and lead your team through every phase of the design process from schematic development to construction administration and project closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate project teams through all phases of design and documentation.

  • Lead drawing production efforts, ensuring accuracy and consistency across deliverables.

  • Oversee project scheduling, workload distribution, and coordination with consultants.

  • Review architectural documents for multidisciplinary coordination and code compliance.

  • Prepare, review, and edit project specifications.

  • Conduct site visits and collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior design staff.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture.

  • 610 years of professional architectural experience.

  • Minimum 3 years in commercial retail, mixed-use, or multifamily projects.

  • Architectural licensure preferred (or actively pursuing).

  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.

  • Strong understanding of building codes, zoning, construction methods, and MEP coordination.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Detail-oriented and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
