Design Architect — Advanced Facilities group. You will design state-of-the-art mission-critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, life sciences buildings, and other advanced facilities powering our virtual world today and into the future. Working with our team in Columbus, OH
, you will support business development and client engagement, promote overall design quality, and perform conceptual, layout, and detailed design tasks, coordinating design and construction activities, studies, and analyses. You will have opportunities to mentor junior team members and contribute technical leadership.
- Lead conceptual, schematic, and detailed design efforts for mission-critical facilities, including pharmaceutical, semiconductor, life sciences, and other advanced buildings.
- Coordinate design and construction activities, perform studies and analyses, and participate in project meetings to resolve concerns across disciplines.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced architects.
- Develop and manage project work plans, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery with strong attention to detail.
- Promote design quality and contribute to the advancement of workflows, systems, and tools within the architectural discipline.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program.
- Professional Architecture license in the US.
- At least 7 years of architecture experience.
- Experience with building codes and specifications.
- Proficiency with Revit.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite for construction work.
- Experience with semiconductor, mission-critical, life sciences, bio-pharma, or related advanced facilities.
- Experience with Sketch Up, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Navisworks.
- LEED accreditation.
- Desire to travel.
The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the option to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in deferred compensation plans.
Jacobs offers an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. Some roles may be eligible for additional rewards such as merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
