Position: Environmental Design Internship - Fall 2026

About JLL Design Services: JLL Design Services is the design and architecture division of JLL, offering interior design, workplace strategy, architecture, project management, and sustainability solutions to enhance commercial real estate assets and create unique work environments. We focus on functionality, aesthetics, and aligning spaces with clients’ brands and cultures, optimizing productivity, collaboration, and employee well‑being.

What the job involves

We are seeking a passionate graphic designer to work with us in our Columbus, OH studio for Summer 2026. The successful candidate will support the design studio across various aspects of our work by creating innovative consumer‑driven experiences. This hybrid position requires flexibility to come into the studio as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in team meetings with highly collaborative professionals.
  • Support the team in design concepts through 2D graphic elements.
  • Create deliverable deck designs.
  • Produce art deliverables.
  • Generate conceptual graphics.

    June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026.

    Columbus, OH | Onsite.
Education, Skills, and Experience
  • Pursuant or completed Bachelor’s degree in visual communications or graphic design.
  • Strong portfolio showing a range of skills.
  • Interest and understanding of brand standards and style guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to others.
  • Knowledge of design principles and aesthetics relevant to retail environments.
  • Ability to quickly produce high‑quality concept sketches and mockups.
  • Proficiency in industry‑standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, and Office 365.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with the design team, vendors, and other partners in the retail industry.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to excel under pressure and attention to detail.
  • Strong follow‑up and follow‑through.

We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.

Permanent US Work Authorization Required.

About our Internship Program

Take the opportunity to start your career early in the commercial real estate field. Interns are an integral part of our team working alongside real estate analysts, transaction professionals, and other associates. You will gain valuable insight into the commercial real estate industry while being exposed to multiple lines of business over the course of your internship.
