Senior Captain - Retail

We are looking for a driven Senior Job Captain based in Columbus that exudes positivity and approaches work with a collaborative style. We’re not your average design collaborative, so we’re not looking for the typical Job Captain.

• Professional degree in Architecture
• NCIDQ Certification or Architecture Licensure preferred
• Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of recent design office experience

• Graphically communicate ideas quickly and effectively, with strong technical capabilities in building construction and technologies, millwork detailing, and consultant coordination
• Participate in the full design process from conceptual design through construction administration as a member of a project team
• Carry out construction administration tasks: evaluate bids, conduct site visits, address technical issues, and maintain quality control during construction
• Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors
• Work on fast‑paced, technical projects
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and self‑motivation

Employees are expected to work out of our office during the week, with approval for 1 to 2 remote workdays consistent with our Flexible Work Policy.

• Base salary estimated between $72,000–$86,000, contingent on relevant experience, plus variable bonus and benefits
