Architect
This role leads the technical design aspects of major architectural projects from initial investigation through final recommendation. You will evaluate and recommend design solutions that align with client needs, apply advanced architectural concepts, and develop new techniques and approaches when needed. As a key contributor, you provide architectural consultation on large, complex projects throughout planning, design, and coordination phases, and serve as a subject matter expert in conceptual design and full project support.
Responsibilities- Lead specific technical design aspects of major projects from investigation through recommendation.
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions that best meet client needs and project goals.
- Apply advanced architectural concepts independently and develop new techniques and approaches where appropriate.
- Provide architectural consultation on large, complex projects during planning, design, and coordination phases.
- Participate in conceptual design and provide full project support as a subject matter expert at a seasoned level.
- Liaise with project management, consultants, and firm leadership to develop and align technical solutions and strategies.
- Oversee and guide the development of construction documents and construction drawings to ensure technical quality and consistency.
- Use Revit and other design tools to support project delivery workflows and maintain design integrity.
- Coordinate design efforts with project teams to ensure timely, accurate, and integrated project delivery.
- Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering a culture of mutual learning and professional growth.
- Communicate design intent, technical decisions, and project updates clearly and directly to stakeholders.
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- Active architectural license.
- 6–8+ years of architectural experience with demonstrated project leadership.
- Proven command of Revit and project delivery workflows.
- Experience with design and architecture for complex projects.
- Proficiency in developing construction documents and construction drawings.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong project management capabilities within an architectural context.
- Advanced attention to detail and a highly developed design sensibility.
- Strong communication skills that are clear, accurate, and direct.
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to develop and represent a technical point of view.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience leading technical aspects of large, complex architectural projects.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and evaluate multiple design solutions and make informed recommendations.
- Comfort liaising with project management, consultants, and leadership on technical strategies.
- Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced team members.
- Ability to develop new techniques and approaches in response to project needs.
The role operates in a professional architectural studio environment that emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, and leadership, using Revit as a primary design and documentation tool, alongside AutoCAD and other standard design and project delivery technologies. The position typically follows standard office hours, with flexibility based on project deadlines and coordination needs.

Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $79,440.00 - $ per year.
