BIM Coordinator

As a BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating mechanical systems drawings using architect-generated dimensions and structural backgrounds. You will work under the supervision of the Lead BIM Coordinator/VDC Manager, attending all trade clash coordination meetings, and updating the 3D model as necessary. You will document and communicate any discrepancies, unclear intents, or missing information that could affect coordination.

• Create mechanical systems drawings using architect-generated dimensions and structural backgrounds.
• Attend all trade clash coordination meetings and update the 3D model.
• Document and communicate any discrepancies, unclear intents, or missing information to all relevant parties.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead BIM Coordinator during coordination meetings to make necessary changes to 3D models.
• Work closely with the field superintendent to note changes from coordination meetings and locate wall, slab, and roof openings.
• Review submittals for size, quantity, and design compliance with engineer requirements under the supervision of the Lead BIM Coordinator.
• Revise coordination drawings as needed, including clouding and numbering revisions under the direction of the Lead BIM Coordinator.
• Create a key plan for ¼" scale drawings, estimating coordination time for each area, under the supervision of the Lead Coordinator.
• Familiarize yourself with architectural, structural, and mechanical contract drawings, specifications, and all addenda to ensure accurate reflection in drawings.
• Reconcile size and quantities of equipment before release.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit fundamental and third‑party software training.
• Navisworks Manage experience.
• Knowledge of hydronic and piping systems.
• Strong math ability.
• Good basic computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.

The position involves working closely with various team members, including the Lead BIM Coordinator and field superintendent. The role requires attending meetings and making necessary updates to 3D models. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and strong communication skills to ensure successful coordination and implementation of project elements.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

This is a fully onsite position in Columbus,OH.
