Senior Store Designer (Hybrid - Columbus, OH)

We are seeking an experienced Store Designer to join the Store Design team for a global leader in specialty retail and home fragrance. In this role, you will act as a key individual contributor, taking retail concepts from initial layout through final design intent.

From storefront elevations to interior fixtures and space planning, you will shape the physical brand experience across retail locations while collaborating closely with Construction, Purchasing, and Design Leadership.

• Design & Layout Execution:
  Produce complete retail design packages—including floor plans, storefront elevations, lighting, fixtures, and spatial layouts—aligned with brand standards.
• Concept Development:
  Generate fresh ideas for store architecture, visual merchandising fixtures, storefronts, and innovative layout solutions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Partner with Construction and Purchasing teams to resolve design guidance, generate material takeoffs, and communicate drawing revisions.
• Design Intent Reviews:
  Review landlord site information, consultant drawings, and construction documents to ensure design intent is maintained.
• Leadership Presentations:
  Present design proposals to leadership, actively incorporating feedback to refine final concepts.

• Retail Design Expertise: 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in corporate retail design or a retail-focused design consultancy. (
  
  Note:
  
  Experience strictly in home, residential, or corporate office design will not be considered for this role).
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a CIDA-accredited institution (or equivalent professional experience).
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating floor plans, retail elevations, and store design concepts is required with application.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), and MS Office.

• High Stability & Growth:
  Ongoing high project volume with strong potential for extension.
• Streamlined Hiring Process: A simple, 2-round interview process with direct decision-makers.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.57-$52.86/hr compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
