Through environmental graphic design, we help clients strengthen recruitment, engagement, and brand connections with athletes, students, staff, and fans.
Job Summary:Forty Nine Degrees is seeking a Senior Designer to join our creative team. This role leads the development of experiential and graphic design concepts from early ideation through production and fabrication, ensuring each project delivers on its creative direction and overall vision. The Senior Designer brings a strong design aesthetic, broad creative capabilities, and the experience to guide the development of production-ready artwork.
The ideal candidate is an innovative, well-rounded creative professional with excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for designing immersive, memorable physical spaces. The primary goal of the Senior Designer is to help our clients create exceptional environments that leave a lasting impression on their guests.
- Collaborate directly with clients, designers, and project team members.
- Establish and manage the creative direction for assigned projects.
- Develop high-impact design concepts and client presentations.
- Present ideas, recommendations, and design solutions clearly and confidently.
- Guide projects from initial concept through production and fabrication.
- Independently manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Mentor and support other members of the creative team.
- Three or more years of professional experience in graphic, environmental, spatial, or a related design field.
- Ability to lead creative initiatives and communicate ideas effectively.
- Proficiency with macOS and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Confidence presenting and discussing design concepts in client-facing settings.
- Experience in architecture, industrial design, or exhibit design is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a design-thinking approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and able to learn quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and enthusiastic.
- Comfortable managing change and evolving project requirements.
