Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a talented and highly motivated
Project Architect
for immediate employment in our Cleveland, OH office. As the Architectural Job Captain, you will work with project teams under the direction of the Senior Architect with active engagement and support of our collaborative and iterative design process is essential, along with the desire to seek innovative design solutions while providing unique perspectives on the built environment. The successful candidate will be proactive with strong verbal, organizational, design and technical skills to effectively coordinate with architectural design teams as well as engineering design professionals.

About the Ohio Buildings + Places Team
We offer a full suite of services: architecture, interiors, building systems and structural engineering, urbanism and planning (including landscape), workplace transformation, advisory services, technology solutions, and digital delivery - and serve as a Center of Excellence for many of these disciplines.
We work in a flat, collaborative model across the West Region with other B+P practices, as well as with AECOM’s Transportation, Water, and Advisory business lines to support vertical infrastructure and comprehensive solutions. Our Ohio-led client base is global and includes Public Non-Federal, Cultural + Civic, Higher Education, Science & Technology, and Transit, plus a full suite of Federal clients (ANG, NASA, DHS, GSA, NPS, VA, USACE, USAF, USSF).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
- Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
- Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
- May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
- May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
- May review and approve conceptual designs.
- May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques.
BA/BS in Architecture plus four (4) years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Licensed as a registered architect or proven steps toward licensure such as exams completed, preferably in OH
Knowledge of buildings systems and material.
Knowledge of local building codes
Ability to produce design intent renderings and design concept diagrams
