Overview
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Skull Base and Ablative Head and Neck Surgery Fellow to join the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Responsibilities- Help run a weekly planning conference to discuss management strategies.
- Participate in the head and neck tumor board.
- Engage in clinical research projects and attend conferences.
- Independently staff surgical cases and teach residents as an Instructor-Practice faculty member, functioning as a junior faculty and fellow trainee.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Completion of an Otolaryngology residency.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in the relevant specialization.
- State of Ohio, full, unrestricted medical license and paid DEA license required.
The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center offers a high-volume, multidisciplinary environment with robust skull base and ablative head and neck oncology experiences. The fellowship includes training in management of skull base lesions with open and endoscopic approaches, and a wide spectrum of ablative head and neck oncologic surgeries for mucosal, salivary, and endocrine malignancies.
Our program emphasizes education, research, and patient care in a collaborative setting, with opportunities for trainees to participate in medical student and resident training and to engage in basic science and clinical research.
Licensing and Other Requirements- Ohio medical license (unrestricted) and DEA license required.
