Overview
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon to join our nationally ranked team. This is an outstanding opportunity to build a diverse practice within a division that currently comprises three facial plastic surgeons, a nurse practitioner, and a fellow.
The department is a nationally recognized leader in ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care, offering comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management for a full spectrum of otolaryngologic conditions affecting adults and children. It emphasizes safe, high-quality, value-based care and is supported by state-of-the-art facilities and outpatient clinics serving central Ohio.
ResponsibilitiesProvide facial plastic and reconstructive surgical care within the department's expertise areas. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, contribute to education and clinical training, and participate in ongoing research and scholarly activities as appropriate to the division and academic appointment.
Qualifications/Requirements- Successful completion of Facial Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship program
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Eligible for State of Ohio medical license
- Qualify for an academic appointment at the assistant or associate professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) – Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. They will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree. Clinical faculty are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years and may be reappointed. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching and/or research.
Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) – Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.
Research Faculty (regardless of rank) – Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. They will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.
