DepartmentThe Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking an academic Occupational Health physician to join the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position OverviewThe full‑time Occupational Health Medical Physician will provide medical oversight and care at the Occupational Medicine and Occupational Health and Wellness Clinics within McCampbell Hall.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering, overseeing, and supervising medical care for all OSU employees.
- Collaborating with nursing leadership, hospital administrative leadership, and other stakeholders to support operational, financial, and leadership functions within the Service.
- Providing clinical and administrative support for OSU’s occupational health policies, programs, and outcomes in compliance with OSU and regulatory agency requirements.
- Assisting clinically and administratively with strategic planning related to departmental scope, services, policy procedures, and performance improvement for OM/OHW services.
- A physician in good standing as a member of the attending or courtesy Medical Staff of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
- Board Certified in Occupational Medicine (highly preferred) or currently board certified in a specialty with recent duties dedicated to occupational health or a highly regulated field.
- Demonstrable experience working within an occupational health/university/academic medical center or comparable corporate clinical setting.
- Obtained or willing to attain the certifications required by the Medical Director, such as DOT/FMCSA CME, MRO certification, Ohio BWC certified physician, USCIS designated Civil Surgeon, FAA AME, or other relevant certifications.
- Eligibility for an Ohio license.
- Qualify for an academic appointment; academic rank and salary will be commensurate with prior training and experience.
