Position OverviewThe Department of Urology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is nationally recognized for delivering the highest quality care for urologic conditions. The new faculty position is full‑time on the tenure or clinical track, with academic rank and salary commensurate with experience and education. The successful candidate will be a respected clinician, educator, and researcher whose scholarly work has or will have a significant impact on the field of Urology.
Department/DivisionOverview
Our department, led by Dr. Cheryl Lee, is organized into six specialty divisions with 30 faculty members and performs over 22,000 clinic and operative procedures annually. It is ranked #24 in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Rankings and sponsors fellowship programs in Endourology, Urologic Oncology, and pediatric urology.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe scope of duties includes diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of adult patients presenting with genitourinary disorders in office, ambulatory, and hospital settings, with a particular focus on endourology. The successful candidate must exhibit expertise in minimally invasive surgical approaches to standard and complex stone disease and will be expected to engage in clinical care, research, education, and community service.
Requirements- MD, DO, or equivalent
- Residency training in Urology within an ACGME‑accredited program
- Fellowship training in endourology
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Urology
- Licensed or license eligible to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills enabling effective collaboration with residents, faculty, and stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to resident education and fostering a positive learning environment
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in urology, with a record of publications and presentations
