The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a clinical addiction psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) is actively growing and recruiting a highly motivated addiction psychiatrist committed to excellence in clinical care and a career in academic psychiatry. OSUWMC has created a range of unique opportunities for a diverse workforce, and is seeking an addiction psychiatrist to lead an inpatient dual diagnosis service, with additional opportunities for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services.

The successful candidate will work within our interdisciplinary programs in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.

Faculty responsibilities are consistent with our tripartite mission – patient care, education, and clinical research. This requires thorough knowledge of the DSM‑5 and mental health diagnoses within the ICD‑10. The individual selected for this position will have ample opportunities to contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits. Other duties include but are not limited to representing the program or Department by participating in committees, conferences, and representing OSU at professional meetings and community speaking engagements.

The psychiatrist is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center.

• MD or DO
• Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
• Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
