The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Dermatologist to join the Department of Dermatology. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position OverviewThe ideal candidate will be a board certified/board eligible Dermatologist with demonstrated clinical and/or scholarly achievement, a commitment to excellence, interest in teaching residents and students, and dedicated to advancing research and innovation. They will contribute to the Department’s vision while upholding the organization’s mission and values. The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to patient care, research, and training residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform medical and surgical dermatologic procedures
- Direct and participate in quality assessment and improvement activities
- Opportunity to serve as preceptor and provide bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate & graduate students
- Serve as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department
- Participate in department, college, medical center and university committees and other service activities
- Conduct and provide clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level
- Support clinical and translational research activities and innovation
- Opportunity to serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials
- Completion of an accredited residency program in dermatology required
- MD or DO with or without other advanced degree (MS, PhD, etc.)
- Board eligible/Board certification in Dermatology
- Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
