Position Overview

The primary duties of the positions will be providing perioperative care at the University Hospital, The James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital on the main campus and our expanding outpatient surgical centers. Department/Division Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology is composed of 128 physicians, 103 CRNA/CAA’s, 10 clinician scientists, 80 residents, 9 fellows, a large compliment of anesthesia technicians and 13 administrative support staff. Comprised of six academic divisions, Critical Care, Pain, Cardiothoracic, OB, Ambulatory and General Anesthesia, the Department provides comprehensive anesthesia services throughout the health system, including off-site and regional locations. The department is deeply invested in teaching and training, offering four ACGME-accredited fellowships in cardiothoracic anesthesiology, critical care anesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, pain medicine and regional anesthesiology as well as additional fellowships in neuroanesthesiology and Executive Leadership and Business in Anesthesiology.

An additional ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology is offered in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Requirements
  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
