Position OverviewThe successful candidate will be employed full-time by the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Leadership opportunities and resources are available for qualified candidates with ambitions to build an academically strong subspecialty division and foster the development of a robust program of research and training. Duties and Responsibilities- Provide licensed medical care in the specialty area of orthopaedic surgery, including diagnosis, surgery, pre‑ and post‑surgery care, staff education, collaboration on case management, and clinical research.
- Manage complex and sometimes unpredictable situations.
- Demonstrate competence in technical clinical and surgical skills, cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve patients receiving the above services.
- Practice within the established Medical Center and physician’s standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to the Intensive Caring Value Statements.
- Be subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
- MD or DO
- Successful completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program
- Successful completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Eligible for an Ohio Medical License
- State of Ohio and DEA licensure required
