Job Description
Summary:
Assesses, diagnoses, and treats mental illnesses and disorders using therapy, medication, and other interventions.
Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Prescribes medications and other treatments to manage symptoms and improve mental health. Develops and implements treatment plans based on patient needs and goals. Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
Education RequirementMD or DO, required.
Licensure RequirementOhio Medical License, required.
CertificationsBoard certification in General Psychiatry, required.
ExperienceThree years of residency training in medicine, neurology, and general psychiatry with adults, required. Two years of additional training in an accredited fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, required.
