Position Overview
The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic Director of Lung Transplant physician to join the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Eligible candidates should be at the Associate Professor or Professor level.
We are recruiting for a Director of Lung Transplant in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, & Sleep Medicine to lead with a commitment to excellence in the clinical, research, and educational missions.
The ideal candidate will have an emerging or established leadership background in Transplant Pulmonology at an academic center and be able to articulate a clear vision for a forward‑thinking strategy to enhance growth in clinical operations and research/scholarship. The Director will demonstrate the ability to lead a highly collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team within a high‑volume lung transplant program with continuing growth.
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep MedicineThe Division, led by Division Director Dr. Jeffrey Horowitz, offers broad clinical opportunities in general pulmonary, critical care medicine, transplant pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and interventional pulmonary medicine. The Division supports clinical, translational, and basic research and offers substantial educational opportunities.
Requirements- Associate or Professor level
- Board Certified/Eligible in Adult Pulmonary Disease
- Board Certified/Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
- Fellowship trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
- Advanced training or experience in Lung Transplantation
- An active research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research is desirable
- Qualify for academic appointment at The Ohio State University – academic rank and salary commensurate with training and experience
