Oversee medical care for residents of developmental centers, coordinating services and establishing policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to resolve health and safety issues and recommend medical interventions. Serve as primary care physician, conducting physicals, evaluating concerns, diagnosing, monitoring reactions, and writing prescriptions. Work with Certified Nurse Practitioners at each facility. Consult with facility committees and external parties regarding medical matters and emergencies.
HoursHours vary; work PRN with potential up to 24 hours weekly; on-site at various DODD facilities. Remote, on-site, or hybrid depending on assignment. Compliance with TB and drug screening; no reimbursements for mileage; required security and documentation protocols.
Education / Licenses Needed- Ohio Medical License Board Certification in relevant specialty
- CPR Certification
- DEA Certification
- TB test within 30 days
- US Passport or Naturalization Card if born outside US
