Role Description The Advanced Imaging Fellow is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, OH, focused on subspecialty training and clinical practice in advanced imaging modalities. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing and interpreting advanced imaging studies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, and participating in case conferences and teaching sessions. The fellow will be involved in protocol optimization, quality assurance activities, and the integration of new imaging technologies and techniques into clinical workflows.

Additional responsibilities may include contributing to research projects, presenting findings at departmental or national meetings, and supporting education for residents, students, and other trainees. The role is designed to enhance expertise in advanced imaging while supporting the medical center’s mission of excellence in patient care, research, and education.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited residency in a relevant specialty (e.g., Radiology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine with imaging focus) and eligibility or certification by the appropriate specialty board.
• Demonstrated competency in core imaging modalities, with strong interest in advanced imaging techniques (e.g., MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear imaging, or cardiovascular imaging, depending on fellowship focus).
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, including the ability to interpret complex imaging studies and communicate findings clearly to referring clinicians.
• Experience or interest in clinical research, quality improvement, or innovation in imaging practices, with basic familiarity in study design and data interpretation.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities for working within interdisciplinary teams and teaching residents, students, and other learners.
• Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and adherence to institutional values of inclusiveness, empathy, integrity, and innovation.
• Valid medical license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Ohio and ability to meet institutional credentialing requirements.
• Prior academic medical center or tertiary care experience is preferred
