Job Summary

We are currently seeking a STEM Project Specialist
. This position is located in Ohio
.

The STEM Project Specialist supports the planning, coordination, and execution of a portfolio of grant-funded STEM education initiatives across Ohio. This role works closely with Education Service Centers (ESCs), school districts, higher education, and industry partners to ensure high-quality implementation, compliance, and impact across multiple projects.

The Specialist will play a key role in managing the Bridge to STEM program and supporting additional STEM initiatives as assigned, contributing to statewide efforts that strengthen STEM teaching, learning, and workforce alignment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the day-to-day management of a full grant portfolio serving Education Service Centers (ESCs) and regional partners throughout Ohio.
  • Coordinate implementation of the Bridge to STEM program, including partner communication, timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between Battelle Education, ESCs, educators, and project partners to ensure clarity, alignment, and consistent communication.
  • Track project milestones, budgets, and grant requirements to support compliance and effective use of funds.
  • Assist with data collection, documentation, and reporting to support grant monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to planning and execution of professional learning, meetings, convenings, and events associated with funded programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (program, communications, finance) to support coordinated delivery of STEM initiatives.
  • Provide general project management support across additional STEM education initiatives and strategic priorities as assigned.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, business, project management, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programs, education initiatives, or multi-partner projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfort working with educators and regional partners.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to track tasks, documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Passion for STEM education, educator support, and statewide impact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the state and national landscape of STEM and/or computer science education preferred.
  • Prefer candidate with 2+ years of experience organizing projects or events.
