Overview
Capital University seeks passionate science educators with experience in general chemistry and organic chemistry for part-time instructor positions in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in Summer and Fall 2026.
ResponsibilitiesFor Summer 2026, successful candidates should be able to teach both lecture and laboratory in general chemistry (for STEM majors) and/or organic chemistry. For Fall 2026, successful candidates should be able to teach both lecture and laboratory in general chemistry for STEM majors (Chemical Principles) and/or general, organic, and biological chemistry to primarily nursing majors (GOB Chemistry). There could be opportunities to teach other introductory and upper-level courses as well as University Signature Learning program courses in the sciences during the academic year as well.
QualificationsQualified candidates will have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment or related experiences. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching and preference will be given to applicants that incorporate evidence-based teaching practices in their classrooms.
