Hours:
10 hours per week. Varying shifts. Up to 28 hours if taking classes; up to 38 hours during summer or academic breaks.
The student assistant will support educational programming, research, and community engagement in Madison County, Ohio. They will work directly with AGNR Extension professionals and staff who lead efforts to address grant-based issues, support Agriculture & Natural Resources programs and research, and assist with data collection and entry. Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine, requiring responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees.
The role requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment. Previous experience and knowledge or skill in a student assistant role is required. The assistant will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity, applying OSU mission and shared values.
BCI/FBI Background Check required. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
