Position OverviewThe Integrated Systems Engineering Department is accepting applications for a part‑time Lecturer appointment to teach the CAPSTONE COURSE in the Industrial & Systems Engineering program (ISE 4900). Duties include but are not limited to: curriculum/syllabus design, identifying industry sponsored projects, content and materials development, teaching, and evaluating/grading student work.
All courses are taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio.
The Ohio State University will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Performance Objectives- Presenting course material and guiding students through assignments
- Identifying project sponsors and organizing student teams
- Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Demonstrated commitment to student success.
- Collaboration with fellow instructors
- Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience.
- 2 years of teaching, research and/or industry experience related to employing Industrial and Systems Engineering methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State’s Shared Values.
