The Ohio State University Division of Human Genetics is seeking a dynamic genetic counselor for a clinical excellence faculty position in the growing clinical care area of Cancer genetics. This clinical faculty position involves clinical care, teaching and mentoring, and translational cancer genetics research, with opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, PhDs, and MDs.

ResponsibilitiesClinical faculty members are dedicated to academic clinical practice, education, and translational research in adult genetic specialties.
Responsibilities include:
- Provision of clinical genetic services in cancer clinics
- Teaching genetic counseling graduate students, medical students, residents, and fellows
- Participation in translational cancer genetics research programs
- Engagement in teaching and mentoring, including lectures, seminars, and clinical rotation supervision
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance cancer research and clinical care
In addition to clinical and research activities, the role involves active engagement in teaching and mentoring and opportunities to shape the next generation of genetic counselors.
QualificationsRequired
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) with titles including assistant/associate/professor-clinical or professor-clinical. Candidates will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD), or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years, with potential reappointment. Primary focus includes clinical care, and may include teaching and/or research.
