Position OverviewThis 12‑month senior lecturer position will involve teaching 10 graduate and undergraduate courses each year, including in‑person courses, supervision of clinical and field experiences across autumn, spring, and summer sessions, advising, and mentoring students in the Workforce Development and Education program. Courses will cover alternatively and traditionally certified teacher preparation programs in career and technical education. English proficiency and strong communication skills are required.
The university will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position
Performance Objectives- Design and deliver high‑quality in‑person and online graduate and undergraduate courses using innovative teaching practices.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Supervise clinical and field experiences of teaching.
- Build the pedagogical knowledge of teacher candidates and in‑service teachers.
- Continuously update courses and curricula to align with today’s middle and high school teaching roles and realities.
- Ensure courses and assessments meet teacher education accreditation standards and participate in program accreditation processes.
- Model best teaching practices.
Required
: A doctorate degree (EdD or PhD) or All but Dissertation (ABD) in career and technical education, workforce development/education, or a relevant discipline (e.g., business education, family and consumer sciences education). Relevant and effective K‑12 teaching experience is required.
Desired
:
Relevant and effective higher education teaching experience and experience supervising clinical and field experiences of teacher candidates or practicing teachers.
