Position TypeTemporary (Fixed Term). Flexible hours: up to 28 hours if taking classes and up to 38 hours during the summer and/or academic breaks. Scheduled hours: 10 hours per week (varying shifts).
Responsibilities- Moderate, less routine work requiring responsibility and good judgement.
- Coordinate activities for other student employees.
- Provide excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and work in a professional environment.
- Support educational programming and community engagement in Lake County, Ohio.
- Assist Extension professionals and staff in addressing community‑based issues.
- Support 4‑H Youth Development programs for youth and adult audiences.
- Assist with educational materials, conduct community‑based programs, and participate in professional and public meetings.
- Represent the department and the university with integrity, applying OSU mission and shared values.
- Previous experience and knowledge or skill in a student assistant role.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a professional setting.
- Good judgement and responsibility.
- BCI/FBI Background check required.
- Final candidates subject to successful completion of a background check; a drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
