Description:
Hamilton Local School District is seeking an Intervention Specialist, in our Student Learning Classroom (SLC) Unit at Hamilton Elementary, who is organized, efficient, and self-motivated. The contract is for 185 day contact/ 7.5 hours a day to start immediately for the school year
Minimum Qualifications:
A valid K-12 or P-3 Intervention Specialist Mild/Mod or Mod/Intense Teaching Certificate through the Ohio Department of Education.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Provide an educational program for students as defined in the students Individual Education Plan (I.E.P)
- Develops and implements an Individualized Educational Program of each child, complimentary to his/her educational strengths and needs as defined through the
multifactored evaluation and I.E.P. process, and Regular Education Curriculum. - Completes necessary reports and record keeping as required by state and local policies and procedures.
- Works cooperatively with regular classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying
general education curricular as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignments.

Commensurate with experience and in accordance with specified salary schedule
